    The National Pingtung University of Education Library was established in 1946, it has 59 years of history. It gained its brand new outlook after many evolutions, upgrades and enlargements. Situated in the eastern campus, the library is located on the 6th  to  9th  floor of the Wu Yu Building, expanding 108 meters from east to west and a total area of 7,915 squares meters. The library collection presently includes more than 343,000 volumes; 2,400 periodicals; and 1,000,000 non-book materials such as microfiches, tapes etc. The library aims to meet the needs of students and professors at the university, supporting academic research and providing information services. In order to achieve the goal, the library was set up to contain four divisions which include Acquisitions and Cataloging, Serials and Information System, Circulation Service, Reference Service.
